We have been in our house for 10 days now (!), and after a break from blogging I am ready to get back and update what has been going on in our lives for the past 2 weeks. ?

Two weeks ago, on a Sunday, we sat in our apartment anxious to hear back from the sellers . . . we were trying to arrange a time to hand-off the keys. ?They had to get a few more things out of the house and would call us when they were ready. ?
In an effort to preserve our sanity and guard our nerves against bad news, Scott and I have had a very low-key, low-expectations approach to this whole process. ?We wouldn't allow ourselves to get too excited about something until it was actually, literally happening. ?Like the day of signing papers. ?This was no exception.
But on this Sunday we were both so nervous. ?(I have to note that Scott doesn't get nervous very often.) And when the call finally came -- that they were ready -- our hearts lept. ?My stomach was full of butterflies -- I can't remember the last time I felt like that! ?Oh my goodness, it was crazy.
I sent Scott over to the house to do the exchange by himself -- I was too nervous that I might become an emotional mess, walking into our house for the first time. ?Once it was done, he called for the kids and I to come over.
Talk about surreal. ?
I walked from room to room, taking it all in. ?The kids (who had never seen the house before) went nuts. They loved their bedrooms! ?They loved the family room! ?They loved the pool! ?They loved the laundry chute! ?They loved everything.
The next night (Monday) we went over the house for Family Home Evening. ?An inaugural swim was in order. ?And it was time to bust the puppy pinata.?
