By Dori Saltzman, News Editor, Cruise Critic

Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas rescued a dehydrated sailor at approximately 2:52 Monday morning about 200 miles northwest of Bermuda. The sailor, Nathan C. Owen, was aboard 46-foot yacht Seabiscuit and was participating in the 2012 Newport Bermuda Race.

The cruise ship was on its way from King's Wharf, Bermuda, to Boston when it received the request for assistance. Once onboard, Owen received food, water and medical treatment. He is still onboard the ship.

Enchantment of the Seas is in the middle of an eight-night sailing that departed Baltimore on June 14. The ship's next port of call is Boston, at which time Owen will disembark. The sailing concludes on Friday, June 22.
