The Wanted have just nabbed themselves the lead single on the "Ice Age: Continental Drift" soundtrack. They tweeted that their current track, "Chasing the Sun," was hand-picked for the family-friendly summer release.

"Incredibly excited to have 'Chasing the Sun' be a part of the Ice Age 4 Soundtrack #TheWantedOnIceAge," they announced on Thursday (May 3). "Be sure to see Ice Age 4 on 13th of July #TheWantedOnIceAge."

Shortly after tweeting the news, fans began re-tweeting the hashtag again and again to help spread the message.

The fourth film in the "Ice Age" franchise will hit theaters on July 13 and is already busting with pop-star swag thanks to several key castings. Everyone from Nicki Minaj to Drake to Jennifer Lopez has a part in the animated feature, which also stars Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Keke Palmer, Peter Dinklage, Aziz Ansari, Heather Morris and others.

This time around, the film's protagonists, Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary) and Sid (John Leguizamo), go off on a new adventure where they meet up with pirates while exploring a new land.

"They knew I liked animation, they knew I liked to do voices, and so they said they were doing that so I thought, 'This is amazing,' " Minaj told MTV News about her role of Steffie in the 3-D movie last year. "The original role that I was up for I didn't get. So I said, 'Oh, OK, whatever.' I was really mad, and the next thing you know, they called me and they said, 'We wrote in a part just for you 'cause we really want you to be a part of this movie.' "
